Dr. Hall was recruited to Clay County in 1992 by Nemours Children’s Clinic to staff its rural primary care clinic in Green Cove Springs. The clinic was acquired by Dr. Hall in 2000 and subsequently moved to its current location in Fleming Island. Dr. Hall and her husband live in the Lake Asbury area and have two grown children. They are now the proud parents of 4 dogs, 12 cats, and a potbelly pig named Hamlet.

Amy L. Garrett, M.D.

Residency: Naval Medical Center, San Diego CA

Dr. Garrett graduated with honors from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. After two years as a staff pediatrician at Naval Hospital Beaufort she promoted to Head of the Department of Pediatrics. Following her honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Dr. Garrett entered private pediatric practice in Jacksonville. Dr. Garrett joined Island Pediatrics in 2001.

JACOB RENUART, M.D.

Dr. Renuart is a lifelong Floridian and grew up in Haines City in the Greater Orlando area. He obtained a degree in chemistry from University of Florida prior to attending medical school at University of Central Florida. He returned to Gainesville to complete pediatric residency at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. He is excited to join the Island Pediatrics team! Dr. Renuart enjoys board games, exploring the outdoors, cooking, watching Gators & Knights football, and spending time with friends & family including his two nephews.
Laura Dunton, A.R.N.P.

Laura joined Island Pediatrics in 2008. She was born and raised in St. Petersburg and attended the University of Florida where she received her ARNP degree. She enjoys Gator games, running with her Great Dane and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She attends the Ortega United Methodist Church and is active in Bible Study Fellowship.
Kelsey Holmes, A.R.N.P.

Kelsey is the newest member of the lsland Pediatrics family as of August 2022. She was born and raised nearby in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from UF in 2009 with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and then from UNF with her Bachelor’s in Nursing. She has worked in various nursing specialties including medical-surgical, peri-operative, and pediatric intensive-care nursing. After completing her Master’s in Nursing at UF in 2011 and becoming board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Kelsey has worked in pediatric primary care in Jacksonville and in pediatric urgent care in Virginia Beach, VA. She has a sweet, spunky daughter and spends her free time with her large family and friends, and enjoys Gator football. She is a member of Crossroad United Methodist Church and enjoys singing in her church choir.
Kelsey is very excited to get to know our patients and their families and loves educating patients and parents to make them feel more confident and comfortable managing their health and well-being.
Emily Armstrong, A.R.N.P.

Emily grew up on Florida’s Space Coast in Merritt Island, FL. She attended Stetson University for her undergraduate degree in Integrative Health Sciences. She then moved to Nashville, TN to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduation, she began working at a pediatric primary clinic as an APRN in Charleston, South Carolina. After marrying her husband in May, Emily returned to Florida to be closer to family. She enjoys being active in church, Miami Dolphin football games, playing tennis, being on the water, and spending time with her husband and family.
